New Blood and Awards Ceremony

Wow. An incredible three days of events.
New Blood kicked off with seminars, live briefs and work on display from universities all over England. Really inspiring work. We had a great time visiting the stands and talking with the students there about their experiences. Most of them know of the Circus and ask about it with wide-eyed enthusiasm.

The second day was 'Portfolio Surgeries'. This was for invited students only, but still managed to sneak 1 book review in there at the end of the session! That was followed by Pecha Kucha - a way to sort of unwind from the exhibition. Students were allowed to put up 20 slides and talk for 6 minutes about whatever they wanted. Becky(qui?) got a chance to talk about the Circus and what we're all about and people were genuinely interested and asked us questions after the show.

Day 3 - Awards Ceremony was last night. D&AD really put on a great show. Everything moved quickly and in the end, the Circus came away with two commendations. Nope, no pencils. But still and incredible ride all the same. Afterward we got to meet some creatives who set us up with appointments today. Stay tuned for how that plays out...

Circus in London!

We're here in London! Walking around everywhere and taking in the sights.
Yesterday we saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. There were a lot of bagpipes and funny hats. The best part were the security guards managing the crowds. "Oh, excuse me. I didn't realise you went to bloody rock climbing school sir, but could you please get off the gate." "Excuse me sir! Get off the Gate! It's a Pal-ace! They'd shoot you if you did this at the White House." It was great.
Also, they brought out this huge dog that looked very majestic, yet alien-like at the same time.
From the B-Pal we went to Big Ben. Which we decided is more like Medium Ben. We got some great photos of it and Parliament later as the sun set. Around that time we went onto the London Eye. 450 feet above London! It was incredible. From there we got some great shots of The Brandy Agency's rubber chicken. And we had a very memorable tea party in honor of HEDDY.
Looking forward to visiting agencies today. We'll keep you posted.

Yesterday was a sad day when www.thelondonproject.com went down. We working hard to get it up and running again but until then, we've relocated here.

DAY 1 of fund raising:
Today we went live. We sent our website out to as many people as we possible could, updated our facebook pages and twitter status...and now, we wait.

We were really excited to see this on D&AD's twitter page within 3 hours of going live.
